Casework

How can I help you?

As your councillor, one of my most important jobs is casework — helping residents cut through council bureaucracy and get problems sorted. I can't always fix everything, and some issues take time, but I will always look into what you raise and be honest about what I can and can't do.

Housing

Repairs, damp and mould, overcrowding, temporary accommodation, and disputes with the council or housing associations.

Council Tax & Benefits

Council Tax queries and support, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, and help accessing other financial support.

Planning & Development

Local planning applications, objections and support, and questions about development affecting your street.

Streets, Bins & Recycling

Missed bin collections, fly-tipping, street cleaning, potholes, streetlighting, and other environmental issues.

Anti-Social Behaviour

Noise, harassment, and anti-social behaviour affecting you, your family, or your neighbourhood.

Anything Else Council-Related

If it isn't listed here, get in touch anyway — if I can't help directly, I'll point you to someone who can.

Ward surgeries

Third Saturday of every month, 10:00am–12:00pm

Canning Town Library

No appointment needed — drop in, or contact Cllr Morris to arrange a convenient time.
